“Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.” Psalms 119:123
We can get tired in this life and in the battles.
Sometimes we would LOVE a vacation from our trials wouldn’t we? It would be great if we could pause the hand of the oppressor and put on our flip flops and plop down beside “I don’t care” beach for a while!
While that may be unrealistic, we do have hope in Someone that can offer us respite. He knows when the time will be perfect, and we just have to wait on Him.
What should we do while we wait though? I tell you, this is where a lot of us get into trouble. We take our eyes off of the Lord as we hope in Him and His rescue, and we stare at the problem until we are either angry or bitter. This is what causes people to pull up stakes in the ministry and never look back. Their eyes get off the One they should be looking at during the trial.
“Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.” Hebrews 2:8-9
If you are in a waiting time and it is hard, remind yourself EVERYTHING is under His feet and EVERYTHING is in subjection to Him.
Believe that your God is as powerful as He says He is in the Word Bolster your faith and keep looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith!
Until Next Time, Lord willing,
