Day 13

STUDY TIME!

(On Saturdays and Sundays my blog posts will give you a verse to study. I won’t give you the reference….you have to find it for yourself. I will then ask you some questions)

VERSE:

“Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?  This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

QUESTIONS:

  • Who is speaking?
  • To whom is he speaking?
  • Why is he asking them this question?
  • Are there any areas of your life that are contradicting the Truth?

*** HELPFUL TIP ***

If you do not own a concordance or commentary, try downloading the e-Sword app to your phone or tablet. This app can be VERY useful when you want to do a word study or find a verse when you are on the go.

Until Next Time, Lord willing,

Sheri

Paul is speaking to the fickle Galatians who were being influenced by the legalizers. Paul wants to know why they quit following the truth and started following untruth. He is telling them that this untruth did not come from the ONE that calleth them. I am so thankful that Lord does convict me when I am not following HIS truth.

Paul to the Galatians. They started putting too many other teachings/rules that God didn’t want them to have. Was it carnal Christians who influenced them? Probably. But ultimately, Satan did. He will use any means possible to get us to quit following the Truth.
I’m thinking I’d something I “used to do well”, but I don’t now. I’ve thought of many reasons/excuses of WHY I’ve changed, but ultimately, Satan. 😞
